Mrs Review:
This film is in almost joint first place for my favourite film of the year so far. Most people pretty much know the story before going to the cinema, so you think you know what to expect, but you never know what to expect from Boyle. The majority of the film focuses on Aron's time trapped, where he only has his dreamy memories to keep him company. The soundtrack and cinematography are perfect and actually somehow keep what should be quite a dark film very easy to watch (even the arm cutting scene wasn't that bad). Franco fantastically portrays the emotional journey of self discovery made by Aron during those five days and even brings an element of comedy to the performance. Overall a wonderful movie which I would definitely recommend you see!

Mr Review:
Knowing a little bit about the plot beforehand, I had expected a fairly typical search and rescue story-line but that was to overlook Danny Boyle as Director. In the same way as Slumdog, this film is shot with amazing camera work and a great soundtrack and focuses almost exclusively on James Franco and his efforts to survive and escape.  Along with Colin Firth and Jeffrey Rush, James Franco should definitely be nominated for an Oscar as he really keeps you engaged throughout.  The reference at the end to the real life Aron Ralston as he is now adds a nice touch of poignancy.  A great film experience.........
